Vision & mission

London’s most intuitive transport app; and why it matters.

Vision

Instant, accurate, effortless.

London’s most intuitive transport times app. Whether you’re catching a bus, a Tube, a tram or a train, the information should be there the moment you open it. The fastest answer, the most accurate prediction, with the fewest taps possible. Not three screens deep. Not behind a search box.

London only. Deliberately. One city, done properly, is worth more than every city done adequately.

Mission

Help every London commuter time their journey perfectly.

If you got to stay dry because you knew exactly when to leave the house, good. If you spent a few more minutes with someone you love because you timed your train perfectly, even better. If you felt less anxious because you could see you’d arrive on time; that’s the whole point.

Timing matters. The app exists so that yours is a little better.

How we work

Thirteen years of knowing how to fly the plane.

Since the first line of code for London Bus Pal in 2013, every generation of tooling has been about building faster and better. GWT to write more with less. Flutter to ship once instead of twice. Now AI, to accelerate getting new features out. There is no shame in using AI if it’s done properly; the real question is whether you understand what it’s doing for you. Each new technology is worth learning properly, not just adopting.

AI is the autopilot. You get amazing results if you actually know how to fly the plane. If you have no idea how to fly and expect the autopilot to teach you, you’re in for a very hard time.

People associate AI with slop; low-effort work dressed up as innovation. That’s what happens when it replaces understanding instead of amplifying it. Thirteen years of building transport software is what makes the AI productive here, not the other way around.

The goal is to do more with less, and to a higher standard than would be possible alone. AI doesn’t replace the expertise; it lets thirteen years of it go further.

Principles

The non-negotiables.

01 / Independent

Accountable to users, not investors.

No venture capital, no acquihire, no surprise pivots. The roadmap answers to the people who actually use the apps.

02 / Private by default

Your data is never sold. Full stop.

Location is used only when you ask for it. Nothing leaves the device to be traded. Not now, not ever.

03 / Built to last

Quietly improving since 2013.

Shipped, maintained, and here for the long run. Every app treated like it matters; because it does.
